PHEV battery system user study with EEtrex
A comprehensive study of a fleet of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) is going to be performed by a team of UCB and NREL researchers. The study will employ wireless sensors, mobile devices having GPS and wireless communication capabilities, and data servers to evaluate PHEV fuel economy, electricity consumption and user experiences over a wide range of driving cycles (urban, highway, mountainous), as well as electric power grid integration scenarios.
